KRS and her books including Juliet are unique. Most of her books are significantly longer than average. Have you ever read a “book” that ended just when things started to get interesting, then paid $0.99 for every 100 pages after that? If you’ve experienced that frustration you will appreciate the length and depth of her writing.Many reviews note that this book is complicated/convoluted/confusing. In some regards I agree. The changes of POV are not clearly defined at times. Juliet, and the surrounding series are complicated. There are a lot of characters. And those characters like real people are constantly changing and evolving. Along with the fact that many of them have irons in more than one fire. Is Sal a secret agent, a guy running from his mafia responsibilities as the only male offspring in the family, golden boy of Juliet? He’s all of those things and so much more. So not the easiest read ever, but for the readers who truly enjoy character development it’s worth having to pay attention to what you’re reading. If typical “mafia romance” is your thing, you might not like this book, or her others. This is not bad man captures beautiful young woman, said woman sees he’s been damaged, they fall in love, HEA.Think of Juliet as the sample plate, with a little bit of everything. Because of that the salad was sometimes eaten after the cake. It was all delectable, but not always consumed in the way you would expect.Juliet was the first jump out of the gate for KRS, and it shows. She has a whole world she has brought to life. Her writing has evolved in a beautiful and fantastic way. At the time this book was published I believe KRS was happy with it, at this point in her development as a writer I’m sure she’d love to do some editing. Her storytelling has shifted and improved exponentially. I understand that a lot of people want a perfectly written book, this isn’t that book. If that’s what you are looking for I suggest Beautiful Things Evil People Do.Another thing that has come up is genre. Juliet was what I would classify as dark romance. But KRS as an author doesn’t fit into a single box. Looking at the whole of her catalog I’d say her books are suspenseful dark mafia romance/erotic thriller. Yeah it’s complicated, but it damn sure isn’t boring.So if you’re looking for something different, a bit of a challenge, with a story you can sink your teeth into? Give Juliet and KRS a chance. I promise you will be thinking about this cast of characters for a long time to come.

I read the synopsis/blurb (whatever the damn thing is called) for Juliet by Kaliee Reese Samuels, and I just knew this would be the PB to my Jelly, the wiener to my bun. You get what I’m saying. WOWZA! I’m not sure if my mediocre review writing is worthy of this. Kaliee Reese Samuels is extremely talented. The story is loaded with plot twist and just pure juicy goodness. You really should read it, I promise you wonât be disappointed.This is about Irisâ discovery of herself. Married and widowed young, Iris finds herself lost, but with clues left behind by her deceased husband she is on the path to a new and empowered Iris. She finds herself at Juliet a BDSM school. Iris is determined to find herself in the world of submission. Iris learns so much about the woman and the life sheâd like live.âWhile he couldnât understand why, Sal knew Iris was his game changer, but even she didnât want to play with him.âIris isn’t the only one who is learning things. Sal is amazing and I really enjoyed reading and connecting with him, but he is not without his own struggles.

The author has a true gift for conveying an emotional experience to the reader, and showing characters evolving with experience. Five stars for that. Four stars for quite good and better-than-expected character development, world building, overall story arc, and eroticism. However, the story meanders disjointedly and the descriptions of the mental journey of the characters, and their behaviors, become repetitive. A serious flaw, for a work of this length, is that the interesting threads are not pulled together by the end and nothing is resolved in this volume. A star is therefore deducted for execution; expectations were raised but not rewarded. Another star is deducted for faulty grammar, vocabulary (frequent use of the wrong word), unclear and misleading antecedents, and sentence structure (treated as optional). These factors make it a painful read if you’re anal about such practical details, and detract significantly from an enjoyable read. If the author were to employ an able editor and take their advice, I think she’s capable of producing a classic. As it stands, while I’m curious about how the story evolves, I’ve lost confidence that the story is going to get somewhere or even that the author knows the destination.

This was a newly discovered author for me, and after reading blurbs and teasers, I decided to go all in!!! I’m reading them all, as I have to learn more, the characters jump out of the pages at you and you laugh with them, get shocked or surprised, oh yes, definitely get angry!! This story starts out with a young girl and teacher, he’s a widow and she has no clue about life or emotions really. They build their friendship and over time, feelings develop, Iris is so naive and Chance seems unsure with her. But after life and separation she finds him and they get married and build a life…. Until, she hears of an accident, Chance was in the military and wouldn’t be coming home. Therein the REAL journey begins, she is left a box, clues inside, numbers and address, which leads her to Sugargrove and a great cast of characters.. She’s grieving, but trying to manage and figure out why she was there, what did it all mean to Chance? She’s taking under someones wings and is taken to an “special” party. There our Iris will meet Sal… Holy hotness!! The bond with them is so strong and at times, they see each other as best friends, but throughout the whole story here the can feel and hear the attraction between them.. But this journey IS NOT gentle, Sal is the golden boy, the super sub, but is he truly? You see a Dominant come out at times, especially with Iris, but that man has some emotional baggage.. he needs the attention, the love, the pain and he goes from woman to woman, getting what he needs, till even that isn’t working Now Iris will have so much to work thru and at some heartbreaking moments it’s Sal that is there for her. She heals and explores and tries to find herself, and boy is there quite a few that want to help her along.. You will want to slap both Sal and Iris at times, they can be so vicious and cruel to each other, then run to the other because they cant stand the thought of not being together. You will love so many of Kailee Reese Samuels characters, she has written so many layers to them, and things are very rarely as they seem, as many mistakes some of them make, friendship and loyalty will be tested, there is such a sense of family. And OMG… Jack, I want more, his back story, his future, to see if he finds the one that can take and accept him! Towards the end of Juliet I was screaming at Iris and Sal, why??? You’ll have to read to find out! I’m thankful I came across this author and her fabulous take on a story that is emotional, twisted, occasional dark ( be warned, the Initiation is exactly what it is) a journey of several souls who are discovering who they truly want to be and the journey it will take, I can only hope more of this is not far off. Wonderful writing of a story that isn’t explored enough!!!

The premise of brilliant but naive introvert meets older man who checks all her boxes is one that I definitely enjoy. (My favorite being Anne Rice’s Belinda đ so I really enjoyed the introduction to Iris’ character. The story then takes a slow 360 journey as the grieving, widowed Iris delves into her husband’s past involvement with a secret BDSM school. There she meets Sal the super sub who has the potential to be the perfect Dom to her previously unknown submissive side. I wish the author had focused on their relationship rather than on each of their feelings and history with multiple other people so that their connection would have felt more genuine. I’m a huge fan of passionate erotica, but I require loyalty between my characters. I felt like neither Sal nor Iris was committed to themselves never mind each other. They threw the words love around so much, but it all felt like lust and loneliness to me. Granted these are “damaged” individuals and this is meant to be a journey of growth, but considering this book was longer than average the journey should have been farther along than it was at the end of 660 pages. So I wish these characters the best, but I won’t be following them to book 2·

This book was so much fun to read. It has me sucked into where I couldn’t put my Kindle down. The characters are amazing, and the way this novel is written, I can picture every character. The only issue I had with the book is that it was drawn out. It kept going in circles and made me extremely frustrated for the characters, and when you get to the end, you are left as lost as you started :/. I was praying for a happy ending, but unfortunately, it never happens.

I was very unsure of this book at first. I almost quit reading. It picked up eventually and I am glad that I powered through.This book is 600 and some pages. For those of you who want 250 page books, this is not for you. If a book is good, I love them long. Once I got into the world of Juliet, I was hooked. I lived in Juliet for a solid week and didn’t want to leave. I read in the bathroom, in grocery store lines, when I was supposed to be going to bed…It has a different take on the BDSM theme than what I’ve read before. Again, some may not be into it, but I enjoyed it. It felt more real and less kitschy. The sex wasn’t the main theme despite the backdrop of the whole book being sex. The characters and their lives were front and center.Sal and Iris did start to get on my nerves a couple times, but it wasn’t too bothersome. There were a lot of characters and I had trouble remembering all of them. I think there were a few that were not in as many scenes. Like Mitch. I had trouble understanding who he was as a character. I think his motives were purposefully vague, but his personality felt a bit empty.On the flip side, there were side characters that I loved. Kate, Stephanie, Anna, and oddly Tank. (Though Tank didn’t get much air time, he left an impression on me.) These characters were well rounded and I understood who they were and why they acted as they did. Their personalities were apparent. Some, like Cas, I was always a little on the fence as to if I really understood her personality. I liked her and understood her role in the story, but didn’t feel like I knew her.All in all, I liked this book quite a bit. In fact, the subsequent book I read felt childish after Samuels’ poetic writing. I paused on the next book in this series because I need to figure out which is the best one to read as I think I read out of order… That may be why I didn’t get all the characters.

“A love story doesn’t always go the way it should sometimes the path to Forever is a twisting spiraling and flying ride” this could not be more true for this book. This is unlike anything I’ve read thus far. It’s a very long book, somewhat of a mind freak, it will make you wonder what is going to happen next. Each time a new character is introduced the plot thickens and twist. Iris started out this meek young innocent but in the end she’s not innocent at all. On her journey to find out why her husband left her a key to a house she didn’t even know about, she starts to discover herself. No longer just a student, a daughter or a wife she wonders what she’s supposed to do next. Then she’s shown the world of Juliet and all that it offers, including the mesmerizing Sal Raniero. She’s immediately drawn to him and they have an undeniable connection. But for as much as they desire each other things are not so simple. Every plot twist brings a new obstacle. Two very broken people continue to hurt each other while trying to piece them back together again. Many things are left unanswered and I hope will be addressed in future books.

It took me a bit to get into this story. I found it to be boring in the beginning. Then the pace picked up and I loved it. Then information would come from left field and I would hate it. But it would all start making sense again and I was back to loving it. One thing I disliked all the way through was the vast introduction of characters and the lack of how they interconnected until much later in the story….this led to a lot of confusion. What I always loved was Sam’s emotions. He’s a gripping character and I got very attached to him.

The bare bones of the story are there, but it is written with so many characters and POV that I was left confused and wonder what was going on.The twist in the story.if we want to call it that…was not explained well and Iâm left even more confused. Juliet is nothing like you might be used to reading. We start with different characters and the interweave into the story. The main Sub/Dom Sal gives you a love/hate relationship with him. I loved Iris through the whole book as she tries to find herself and her confidence after a tragedy stricks, leading her to Sugargrove, Texas. There are spins and twists you would never see coming. Great job and a great book. This isn’t a fast read so if you’re looking for something to take a little bit of time and a different world to get lost in, Juliet is the place for you!

This was my first read of a book by Kailee Reese Samuels. While some may say it is long, the story was so intriguing I didn’t care if it was 1,000 pages! So many characters to meet! I had a hard time ignoring the grammatical errors, missing words in sentences, extra words that missed being edited out, wrong pronouns and adjectives used as adverbs. The idea of the story started out ok but devolved into random hook ups between more and more characters. The point of view was often unclear and most of the characters were unlikeable. And what was with inserting the whole secret society/spy/hitman element? I do like long books if the world building is good and the story is good but this was a swirling mess that never arrived at a conclusion with increasing numbers of story threads. The BDSM was pretty light as well. I am glad I did not waste money on this muddle.

This book had a lot going on. It starts with Iris losing her husband of 8 years then getting a key to a house in Sugargrove, TX. So she packs up her life and moves down there to discover her husband’s hidden secrets. This story is told in a 3rd person narrative and bounces around between a lot of characters. Not so many that you’re lost, but enough to get a good handle on the character’s emotions and reasons behind their actions. It mostly follows Iris and how she handles her husband’s secrets. It then morphs to a story about her and Sal and exploring her sexuality. I feel like about 1/2 way through the story, we lose Iris and focus more on the other characters to an extent that I didn’t connect with Iris’ reasons for her actions and just kind of viewed her as a super slut screwing everything to try and get back at Sal for also screwing everything.I think the story kept going in circles at a point- Sal wanting Iris, Iris wanting Sal, all the women wanting Sal and all the men wanting Iris and their relationship not going anywhere. I would like to see some growth from these characters as they obviously belong to each other. I wanted to bash my Nook when they wouldn’t just tell each other how they feel!On that note, there was A LOT of “I’m in love with you” between all the women and Sal- both parties saying it. Really? How can 1 dude be “in love” with multiple women and yet only TRULY be “in love” with Iris? It was hard for me to believe that Sal really loves Iris and isn’t just drawn to their explosive chemistry.Then in the last 1/3 of the book, we find out a huge bomb about Iris, Chance, Sal, and Jack- but not quite enough to really know what’s going on. I kind of felt like it was thrown in for the sake of it, but hopefully if there’s another book, it delves more into that portion of it.This book does kinda end in a cliffhanger- both characters going off to better themselves with the hopes of being whole for each other.All in all, I really enjoyed all the facets of the story- there was mystery, emotion (I cried a few times), and LOTS of sex. I so wanted to like this book, the blurb ticked so many boxes for me but the execution left so much to be desired. At 26% into the book there had only been 2 significant events (New Orleans and Sal’s breakdown at the party) and a vague bit of information linking Chance to Juliet. At this point I didn’t know if he’d attended, had worked their, run it or what. I felt that I could have read the blurb, skipped ALL of this part and not have missed much.Personally I found the author’s style of writing incredibly difficult to read/follow and found myself constantly going back over parts of this book. I found it disjointed and confusing. Iris first meets Sal in a barn at a ‘tea party’ but his name wasn’t mentioned. When she meets him again it took me ages to link the Sal being spoken about to the unnamed guy in the barn – in a book that skipped around as it was, this just threw me out of it.I didn’t connect with Iris either, I found nothing warm, friendly or appealing about her. In fact very few characters appealed to me in this book, which on top of it’s length made it very difficult for me to read. I kept skim reading parts, to try and speed things up, and when I did ‘delve in’ it felt like wading through thick molasses.My recommendation, if the blurb sounds interesting, is to download a sample of the book and form your own opinion. I wish I could find something positive to say about the book but it just didn’t work for me, however plenty of others have enjoyed the book so perhaps it just wasn’t for me.

Thank you for the reviewing opportunity!This book is no child’s play, I devoured Juliet in 3 days (it took me that long) and I had such mixed feelings about the story.I have my fair share of books centering around BDSM and albeit being a taboo topic, I love to read about a character’s journey in exploring their sexuality. The blurb piqued my interest but it’s the plot that drew me in. This book is a breath of fresh air in the world of erotic romance, the plot was intriguing and original and Iris is a unique character that I would love to explore. I try to keep my review spoiler free so I’m going to hold my tongue and say, this is the kind of story that you have to read for yourself. Despite it being so lengthy, the writing surprisingly kept me engaged till the end! There were so much going on that you don’t feel the time, and the urge to uncover the mystery kept me driven to finish the book.I liked that the author took the time to develop the characters, although there were many POVs involved, I think it worked to give the reader’s a better insight into the background of a character. The only problem I had with the story was probably the “relationship plateau” between Sal and Iris, at some point of the story I get so frustrated I had to set the book aside, but like I said earlier, it was engaging.Overall, a great story that is worth investing in!

Thereâs a lot of story in here; itâs very long and I found myself needing to put it down frequently. However, it didnât stay down for too long as I also found myself needing to pick it right back up. Itâs a different type of story line and I found it quite addicting, as I was curious to see how it all came together.There are a lot of characters in this book; all of them play a role in Irisâs journey of discovering herself. To me she was a bit of a mess and I worried about her for a lot of the book. I was drawn to Sal from the beginning; heâs such an interesting character, thereâs so much to him that I feel Iâm missing out on because of not reading the Initiation first; Iâm dying to get deeper inside of his head. Iâm curious about so many of these characters and their own journeys as well.As much as I loved parts of it, there were other parts I found lacking of information, it just left me confused and needing more. If you are looking for graphic scenes, you wonât find many and they are quite tame. However there is heat from all the looks, touches, and mostly anticipation⊅that I found myself blushing. I have to wonder if I would have enjoyed it more if it were a duet or trilogy, spreading the story out to build excitement for the next one.This is my first book by Kailee Reese Samuels and I am curious to read The Initiation and more about Sal.A Book Loverâs Emporium

This was a difficult book to read for several reasons. First, it covers parts of BDSM that I had not been exposed to before in my reading. Next, it is longer than I am used to and took me considerably longer to read. Next, it was extremely and intricately layered and the relationships, hook-ups and friendships formed were/ are sometimes confusing. That all said, I did like the book in general. The writing I very good. The characters are well done and layered. It began simply but quickly became as confused as the heroine. Finding oneâs self is a hard trip and when BDSM is thrown in it becomes much, much more. As I struggled through Irisâ own struggles to find her true self I found my own issues being confronted. I felt her pain of loss and her need for love even in the wrong places. And even if it is only sex or pain or both. I was disappointed to find that it is continued and that Sal and Iris do not have a happy ending (yet). Hope springs eternal so I will look for the next books for that conclusion. I am rooting for them both. If you are squeamish about sex or pain then this is not for you but if you want to read something that is real and sometimes harsh then this could be for you. I can certainly RECOMMEND Juliet to those folks.

It looked interesting to my senses and I honestly couldnât wait to read it. Thatâs why writing this review is so hard for me.The story that the blurb reveals, doesnât feel like the story I tried to read. I could only get about 14% through the book before I gave up. The writing switches perspectives and jumps from past to present in such a confusing manner that I was constantly lost. The story was confusing and discombobulated. It was hard to make any sense out of it. Yes this story is supposed to be dark, dangerous and definitely mysterious, however itâs attempt to do these things leaves he reader wondering who people are, whoâs talking and wondering what they are talking about.I know others have enjoyed this story, and I hate leasing negative reviews, but in this case I have to.

Juliet is the first book I have read by Kailee Reese Samuels and I was drawn in by not only the blurb but by the fantastic cover. Its just so very different from 99% of covers that are on erotica books today and I fell in love with it instantly.This is the story of a woman named Iris who loses her husband and sets off to ‘find herself’ at Juliet Academy. She meets Sal, who at times I hated more than English peas, and delves into the world of BDSM. Now the blurb will tell you that the story is ‘graphic BDSM’ but I didn’t find a great deal too much disturbing about it. I thought it was pretty light from that point and well written.Juliet is a very LONG book, its not something that can be read in a few hours or even a day or two. It clocks in at just under 700 pages. And there is a whole lot going on. Many characters, lots of different runs in directions that may or may not end up somewhere. It is a very interesting story that will certainly grab and hold your attention even while being sporadic and slightly unhinged at times.The ending left something to be desired, for me at least, as it didnt really end. But I can see where the author is possibly setting us readers up for a sequel with Juliet.For readers of long, intricately woven stories I think they will certainly enjoy Juliet and the companion books that go along with it.

So I am having a hard time forming this review. First off this is my first Kailee Reese Samuels story so I had no idea what exactly I was getting into.This is a story of a young woman (Iris) finding the love of her life and after a very short time loosing him.Iris is given a box when her husband’s will is read. With this box she in bark’s on an adventure that will take her to a whole different world.That is the easy part to write, what happens at Juliet is a weird and messed up and well what probably happens all the time in places. So yes, I find some of the things that happen in this book messed up, but the core of the story is wonderfully told. The characters are complexed, wicked, and sexy. I couldn’t put the story down and this is not a story you can skim. You have to read every word.

This book is unlike any book I’ve read. it’s crazy long, crazy busy but it’s really good. There’s obviously a ton of sex in this, some of it pretty graphic especially one scene in particular. I did love Sal and Iris but I was just so mad that even though they loved each other, they couldn’t say faithful to save their lives. I also realize they were at a BDSM school and Sal had many mistresses. He was tossed around until himself wanted to be Dom. Iris is trying to figure out what and who she along with finding out her late husband’s secrets and boy is it crazy when she finds all of them out! The author has clearly done her homework on BDSM. She has some an excellent job on knowing what all goes into it. Like I said before, this book is long and had multiple characters all tied together and all have opinions.

Juliet is my first read by this author and it was a good read. It took me a couple of chapters to get into it, but wow! Definitely not what I was expecting. It was a very hot and emotional read.Just let me say that when I started this book I thought it was a typical Student and Professor story, boy was I wrong! It was that’s and so much more. It was a very hot and very long read.After her husband dies Iris heads to Texas and discovers a whole new world that her husband was hiding.I loved the story, but kind of find it hard to write a review that includes the characters since there were so many. And it’s not a bad thing, the characters all fit perfectly into the story.We are left with a bit of a cliffy, just enough to make you excited to read the book.So if you like a hot BDSM book, then one click!Can’t wait to read the next book!

This is a new Author for me and found her through one of the group postings. Iris had gone through quite a bit trying to find herself through Juliet after finding out what the company was when Iris becomes a widow. There were more than a few really interesting areas in the book like between Sal and Iris. I was torn between three, and a half and four stars because in some areas I connected with Iris, and many of the other characters especially Sal, and in others, I couldnât seem to. It could be that the story was extremely long, and I kept losing focus. Overall, I would definitely recommend this book and look forward to another one of this Authorâs stories.

If you like your books to be on the longer side then this one’s for you it’s not a quick read that’s for sure.The story revolves around Iris and her discovery into the world of BDSM after her husband dies and she learns more of the world he kept hidden from her, she finds herself at Juliet acadmy with the hopes of meeting new people and learning more of who she really is and what her true desires are. Iris finds herself falling for Sal the leading male he’s a bit of a bad boy lovable rogue type, there are many other characters/P.O.V’s going on within this book and to be honest I found myself confused at times I struggled to keep up. Starting point- I have not read a book this long in a good while. The blurb is what had me interested in reading this, that along with the alternate cover. The book starts off with Iris becoming a widow. After that it time jumps, that kind of confused me but I eventually got into the swing of the book.The book has a mention of being BDSM, but there isn’t really a show of it, and the scenes that do take place are very mild in terms of descriptions. This book held my interest-and with it being so long- that, in itself, says a lot. What you think will be the usual relationship between a teacher and his student and a blooming romance- doesn’t turn out that way, exactly.This was a different book, I don’t want to give away the plot but even when bits of this were confusing I still kept reading to find out wth was going on. I recommend this to anyone that likes a bit of bdsm with a strong intriguing story-line.

This book was unlike anything I have ever read. TBH I was hesitant at first because it’s different from what I’m use to but I’m so glad I decided to tackle this bad boy. Sal…oh beautifully broken Sal…at times I wanted to reach through the book and slap him but then I would turn the page and want to kiss the hell out of him. Iris had a lot thrown her way but I enjoyed the ride along with her. I also enjoyed meeting all the characters. This is a lengthy book but honestly I was too engrossed with the story to really notice. If you are looking for a great read that lives outside the box I recommend this one.

Wow, just wow! This is the first time I have read any of this authors work, and OMG, it will not be the last. This story starts with Iris and Chance who is the love of her life, and then dealing with his lose. While following clues left to her by Chance she finds herself in Sugargrove Texas, and straight to Sal. No spoilers from me though, this novel need to be read!This story is infuriating, frustrating, sexy, emotional, and with BDSM. Be warned the tissues are required, as well as wine and chocolate. I am in awe of this authorâs talent, and the way in which the reader is drawn into this storyline. I was hooked and enthralled throughout. Absolutely cannot wait for the second book.

Kailee Reese Samuels writing is captivating. The story line is well crafted and the characters are well developed. When I first read Juliet it was the first book I ever read by Kailee Reese Samuels. And let’s just say I was blown away by this book & her writing style. It was freaking amazing! The story of Sal & Iris is one like no other. The way they come together is awesome. & Wow! Sal is HOT! (Well in my head he is!đ) There is a roller coaster of emotions in this book and you’ll love every twist of this ride. So take a chance & read it, I know you’ll love it. I did! đ I know you might be thinking I really didn’t tell you about this book. But, me as a reader I want to know about the feels you get from the book & How much you enjoyed it. Not telling me half the story in the review. So there’s no point in me reading it. Sorry but I hate spoilers & That’s what lots of reviews do. They spoil the story for me at least. So read it & love it! & With all the other characters in it you know there will be more to come.

What can I say about this book? This one threw me for a loop. The twists and turns I never seen coming. Everyone has some kink in them if they admit it or not and this book is about Iris findibg where she is comfortable with hwrs. In the process she meets Sal, who is quickly becoming a favorite book boyfriend of mine. But Iris comes to find all of the lies that have shaped her life. Do not miss this book.

Boy what a ride this book has taken me on! Everything about this book kept my on my toes. At first I didn’t know what to think, but after a few chapters in it really got interesting, especially when Sal was introduced. Hott!! đ„There were soo many times when I wanted to slap both Sal and Iris for making everything between them so complicated. Once I got towards the end of the book I finally understood why Iris couldn’t be with Sal, she had to make herself worthy of being his sub and that I understood. I was upset at first that Sal and Iris didn’t get their HEA but I’m okay with that, maybe some day they will.

Wow oh wow. Loved getting to know more about Iris. Her and Salâs relationship is crazy. Itâs fun watching Sal grow up, going from a male escort at 18 to now at 24 and not knowing what to do with his feelings for this girl.Iris is experiencing BDSM and is wanting to become the best sub for Sal. I will say, both Iris and Sal will be with other people while they try and figure out how they feel for each other. The initiation scene for Iris? Holy guacamole. That was intense and no way in hell could I have gone through what Iris did. Although Iris didnât know what was going to happen, she consented to anything being done. Keep that in mind.Itâs recommended to read this book before starting the TAT series so you get to know the characters and side characters before jumping into that intense series.

Roller coaster rush….
Remember that feeling you get when the roller coaster ride stops?. Your hands are sweaty, your heart is beating out of your chest, your breathing fast. Remember ?. That’s what a Kailee Reese Samuels book is like. The story of Iris, just wow, swimming through the pool of life, trying not to drown, Then there is Sal, well hello hottie, chemistry lesson, Sal+Iris= explosion. Add in the Juliet school and people like Kate, Meirne, Jack, oh the list goes on. I’m not spoiling the story I’m just saying READ THE BOOK. If you can handle it.

There’s, alot going on in this book, sometimes a little to much, very dark and not for the faint hearted, even though I got a little l t it all works out and comes together in the end, it could be because there is so many characters. But I enjoyed it.

Sorry I just couldn’t finish it. Aside from the 1st chapter (which didn’t make sense & should have been a prologue *I think*) it was heading in a good direction if a little confusing. However it soon became evident confusing was the theme. There was no completion or explanation of any situation or event the author was writting about. One minuter her friends came to visit and while they were visiting she left for a drive and never went back and they haven’t been mentioned since. No development or bond has been built between Iris and Sal. They shared a handful of words before the NOLA incident where he mentioned his # was the only one in her phone…wait a minute…when between their 1st meeting (where he insulted her) and this conversation in NOLA did the exchange phone #’s??? Must have been accidentally removed during editing đ. Lastly the book needed some serious editingđ, grammer was very bad and she needs to use the thesaurus a little bit less…sometimes less is more…except when sections explaining things are removed, those are actually needed.
