I freaking loved this book. FREAKING LOVED IT!!!!! From the very first chapter I was hooked. Nico is not for the faint of heart but if you are like me and drawn to the darkness you will devour this book. Nico is nothing like I expected but I’m not complaining one single bit. Something about him draws me in. He is a dark broken mess with some seriously deep issues but he is so much more than that. We learn the history between him and Sal. The connection and chemistry they share is totally different from anyone else.

We also get to see a younger Serene, who I happen to be absolutely smitten with. She is strong and determined. A siren who bows down to only one. Neither has had an easy life and there is something magnetic about their connection. It is real and they click on a whole different level.

This can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading Son of Saint and Son of Angel. As always, prepare yourself for the unexpected and prepare yourself for shocking answers you may not realized that you needed. Another deliciously dark book by KRS and I can’t wait to see what’s up her sleeve next.

Just a little side note…I’m just laying claim to Nico. HE IS MINE!!!! Something about a dark bloody killer with a good heart gets me. “Fucking psychos.”
